These reports are compiled with reference to the Department of Regional NSW publication “Exploration Code of Practice: Community Consultation v2.0 – 2 October 2022” (“ECP-CC”).

 

The code is applied by a condition imposed on all prospecting titles granted, renewed or transferred in New South Wales under the Mining Act 1992 after 1 March 2016.

 

Effective from 7 October 2022 (with a 6 months transition period to 1 October 2023), details of community communications were no longer required to be submitted to the Department of Regional NSW but be published online or made available within 14 days of request.

 

Community Consultation Reports are produced annually two months after the grant anniversary date of the title.
